Zachary Cox - License Massage Therapist

I have over 12 years of dance experience with a background in acrobatics. I am passionate about fitness and wellness and enjoy mountain biking, dirt biking, motorcycles, being outdoors and working/playing with my dogs.  I enjoy helping people and believe that every person is unique. My massage treatment plan is also unique to each client, based on the individual’s specific needs.
Types of work:
Softening the tissue
Working muscles
Stretching muscles
Myofascial release (MFR)
Trigger point
Range of motion
Relaxation massage
My Philosophy on Healing:  Our bodies are always being torn down through work, playing hard, injury, accidents, surgery, sickness and even sitting too long.  Our bodies also have a tremendous capacity to be rebuilt. In 2012 I was in a motorcycle accident that broke my femur and pelvis. I was unable to walk for months. I am a living testimony to how much the body can endure and be renewed. I believe that massage is a one of the best ways to recover from an injury big or small, prevent/manage chronic pain and relieve the stress of everyday life.

Leah Allen-Costa - Licensed Massage Therapist Embody Massage

Previous to my career as a massage therapist, Leah graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in Nontoxic printmaking. While working as a production artist for a children's book publisher, she started taking yoga. Leah was amazed by yoga's ability to not only change her body, but also how it effected her mood, and overall sense of well-being. Less than six months later, she completed a 200-hour vinyasa yoga teacher training with Mitchel Bleier in Norwalk, CT. Massage therapy training seemed like the next logical step in my healing journey.   Leah graduated from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy 1000 hour program in June 2010, and then went on to complete their AOS of Massage Therapy program in December of 2010.

When working with clients Leah draws from a variety of body and energy work modalities including Ashiatsu, Swedish, Myofascial Release, Shiatsu, Thai, Polarity Therapy, and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, depending on the needs of each individual client. She is particularly sensitive to the emotional impact of bodywork, as it has played a huge part in her own healing process. She also enjoys offering prenatal and postpartum massage!

In her spare time, Leah continues her yoga practice.  She is also an outdoor enthusiast, mountain biker, cook, wife, and mother of two girls.
